Candice Bourne Enang (ArtyCanz), is a talented artist whose journey began at a young age, where she displayed a natural gift for the creative arts. She pursued her passion by studying painting, drawing, and design at San Bernardino Valley College, further expanding her skills and knowledge by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from La Sierra University. Candice’s artistic style is a unique blend of mixed media collage portraits and paintings that incorporate African textiles, textures, and 3D elements. She also dabbles in digital art, batiks (wax resist), illustrations, and murals. Her work often explores themes of identity, culture, and empowerment, reflecting her personal experiences and perspectives. With over 20 years of experience in the art world, Candice has achieved numerous accomplishments and recognition for her work. She has been involved in various museum exhibit designs and installations, led children’s craft workshops, and participated in numerous exhibitions and art shows across the country. Notable highlights include winning Best in Show at the Loma Linda Art Association art show and Koehler Gallery  Pink Project for LACE Cancer Foundation (Ladies Awareness of Cancer Education), showcasing her work at the Spectacular Black Girl Art Show in cities like Houston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, and upcoming exhibitions at the City of Hope “Hope is a Masterpiece” and Laguna Art Gallery, and in West Palm Beach. In addition to her visual art, Candice has also illustrated two children’s books, “What Does J-W-D-L-N-T Spell? And Other Short Poems.” and “They Said I Couldn’t, But Yes I Can!” by Dr. Marva Pachot Bourne. Her work has been praised for its vibrant colors, intricate details, and thoughtful storytelling, making her a rising star in the art world.
